Ignites Covers XFLT Proxy Contest and Board-Led Transition Process

Ignites reported on the highly unusual and emotional nature of Octagon Credit Investors’ proxy contest surrounding XFLT’s proposed transition to the King Street Sub-Adviser, highlighting the Board’s unanimous recommendation and extensive review process, as well as Octagon’s poor performance across both XFLT and other Octagon-managed CLOs.

“XAI says its move to replace Octagon is simply based on poor performance. The board’s considerations included the fund’s investment performance relative to its benchmark and peers, King Street’s investment capabilities and its ability to allocate across U.S. and European CLO markets, XFLT’s proxy statement said.
